The Archaeological Institute of America is North America's oldest and largest archaeological organization.  In addition to providing outstanding speakers for our meetings, the AIA

 

• publishes Archaeology magazine, the award-winning popular magazine covering world archaeology

• publishes the American Journal of Archaeology, the distinguished scholarly journal

• works to protect archaeological sites and promote responsible archaeological tourism

• cooperates with many other organizations to offer members opportunities for archaeology-themed travel as well as participation in archaeologic digs
